THE RAKEHELL'S SEDUCTION - Author Interview & GIVEAWAY
Both Ambrose and Alexandra want nothing to do with falling in love, but will a “gentleman’s bet” cause the stakes to be higher than either bargained for? Find out in RAKEHELL’S SEDUCTION, book 2 in Lauren Smith’s Seduction series.
Synopsis:
HE’S MADE A DANGEROUS WAGER
Ambrose Worthing is no gentleman. He’s a proud cold-hearted rake who’s determined to stay a bachelor forever. He enjoys bedding a different woman every night without the risk of falling in love. When he hears about a wager over the seduction and ruination of the daughter of his father’s best friend, he knows he must intervene. Committing himself to the bet, he agrees to seduce Lady Alexandra Rockford—for her own good. He never expected the lady in question to be a beautiful, fiery creature who has passions of her own that call to his guarded heart.
SHE’S VOWED NEVER TO FALL IN LOVE AGAIN
Alexandra Rockford has sworn off men, her heart still broken from the false promises of a childhood sweetheart who left her to marry an heiress. When she stumbles into Ambrose outside of a country ball, she knows the rake is trouble. His smile, his touch, his forbidden kiss are all too tempting but being with him would ruin her. Determined to enjoy herself without falling in love, Alex can’t help but let her defenses down with the too charming rake. But when she discovers Ambrose is seducing her to win a bet, it will take everything Ambrose has to prove to her that he is worthy to love her.

INTERVIEW WITH LAUREN SMITH
Today I’m very lucky to be sharing an interview with Lauren Smight, author of THE RAKEHELL'S SEDUCTION.
I want to thank Lauren very much for taking the time out of her busy schedule to answer some questions for us.
Which writers inspire you?
Answer: Two authors that have really inspired me are Christina Dodd and Johanna Lindsey. When I first started trying to write romance, they were the first two authors that I read voraciously. They had an amazing characters and wonderful stories that swept me away. They also wrote several books which showed me I could create a career in writing. They are classy and no nonsense ladies and I would love to be the same way.
Which Hollywood actors would play your lead characters?
Answer: I think I’d love to have Henry Cavill play Ambrose Worthing and Felicity Jones play Alexandra. I think they’d have excellent chemistry and they’re both British which would suit the Regency time period perfectly.
What are your must have "must-haves" while writing? (special drink, magic underpants or socks, specific piece of music, etc)
Answer: Diet Dr. Pepper (caffeine free), a few Hershey kisses and my headphones. I also hand write every single story so I need to have a Five Star five subject notebook and Caliber brand pens to write. I love to go writing in my local library where I can watch people interacting with the books on the shelves and it seems to help me focus.

What motivates you to write?
Answer: There’s three things that motivate me. The first is the sheer joy of storytelling. I love writing, it’s in my blood and it’s all I think about during the day. The second is for financial reasons. It’s now my full time job to write, so I have to make it happen in order to keep afloat. The third reason is for the fans. There’s nothing more wonderful than writing a story knowing how eager the fans of that series are to read it.
Do you write other genres?
Answer: I write all subgenres of romance such has historical, contemporary, erotic, new adult, paranormal, modern gothic, sci-fi and menage.
Do you write full-time?
Answer: I do! It’s a little stressful to write full time just on the money end, but I totally love the freedom to spend all day working on my books. It almost seems like it’s a dream do this all day.
How long does it take you to write a book from research to completion?
Answer: Depending on the length of the book, I can finish a book of 40,000 words or less in 30 days. Books longer than 40,000 words will take me anywhere between 2 to 3 months. I write consistently every day but the word count is 3,000 words or less a day.
Again, a great big THANK YOU goes out to Lauren Smith for taking the time to spend with us to answer our questions.
